From carpet to pen.
After an event, the red carpet ends up in the bin – usually. Together with Polyperformer, we turn it into new promotional writing instruments.
A happy reunion
From the red carpet to countless plastic cups, events inevitably produce a great deal of waste. Yet this plastic waste contains valuable raw material – and that is exactly what the innovative start-up Polyperformer uses to create new products. Together with founder Vanessa Vanini, we are making a statement for a true circular economy and strong environmental awareness: the red carpet that stars walked along only yesterday now continues to make history with our exclusive re:carpet range.
Recycle, don’t discard
Vanessa Vanini is the mind behind Polyperformer.
A successful comeback
Here, the red carpet isn’t rolled out – it’s rolled back up! Instead of ending up in a skip after a single use, it is reprocessed. First, the carpet is professionally removed on site. Keeping the material pure is essential: most event carpets are made of polypropylene. Back at Polyperformer in Baden-Württemberg, the textile goes into a granulator, where it is shredded into very small pieces. The material is then heated in an extruder and formed into pellets. These pellets are the raw material from which new barrels for writing instruments are made at our factory in the Black Forest.
